BMW G-Series Gear Selector Complete Hall Sensor Board

$90.00

Complete replacement Hall-sensor board — US$90. Currently out of stock.

One separate gear-selector Hall-sensor PCB with both Hall sensors fitted. For matching BMW G-series upright-lever centre-console assemblies. This is the sensor board only, not the complete console or main control PCB.

sEC Hall sensor repair: sEC is the short top marking used to identify the sensor chips shown in this repair. It is not the full manufacturer part number. The marking alone does not establish compatibility: compare the original sensor and PCB before ordering.

Choose the right repair

This listing supplies one complete sensor board. If you want to repair your existing PCB by changing the two ICs, choose our 2-chip Hall sensor repair kit — US$50 instead; that repair requires fine-pitch SMD soldering.

Associated fault codes

  • 802692 — Hall sensor single fault
  • 802694 — Hall sensor dual fault

The Hall-sensing system detects shift-lever movement and position. Symptoms can include intermittent or persistent failure to register lever movement or select a gear. Scanner wording can vary. These codes identify the fault area, not proof that the board or sensors alone have failed. Check the wiring, connector, supply, magnets and selector mechanism before ordering.

Compatibility: match your original board

Compare the PCB layout, mounting points and connector with your original board before purchase. More than one connector style exists. The same sensor ICs may be used on different boards, but that does not make complete boards interchangeable. The board in the photographs is the reference for this listing.

For matching separate U/C-shaped Hall-sensor PCBs in selected BMW G-series upright-lever consoles. Not a universal fit for all G-series vehicles. Compatibility with compact-toggle / short-selector consoles has not been confirmed. Chassis code, model year or console appearance alone is insufficient.

If unsure, send clear photographs of your console, both sides of the sensor PCB and its connector before ordering.

Installation

Replacing the complete board avoids removing and soldering the two ICs individually. Console disassembly, careful FPC/connector handling, correct board alignment and reassembly are still required. This is a different repair from the mechanical parking-brake button switches.

Follow the manufacturer's service and power-isolation procedures. Do not work on a powered selector. After repair, follow the applicable diagnostic procedure, check selector live values and reliable gear selection, and perform any required initialization or calibration before returning the vehicle to use.

Installation video available. Watch the sEC Hall-sensor repair video. The video shows board removal and replacement of the two sEC ICs. If fitting a complete matching board, the individual IC-soldering steps are not required; match the board layout and connector to your assembly.

Board photographs: the images show the top and bottom sides of the same complete Hall-sensor board. One board is supplied. Compare both sides, the PCB layout, mounting points and connector with your original before ordering. These are product photographs, not dimensioned technical drawings.

What's included

1 separate Hall-sensor PCB with 2 sensors fitted. No console, gear lever, main control board, tools or installation service is included. This is not a complete BMW gear-selector assembly.
