BMW F-Series Electronic Gear Selector Repair Harness

Replacement wiring harness for compatible BMW F-Series electronic gear selectors. Use it when continuity testing confirms damaged or intermittent wiring inside the selector.

Before ordering: open the selector and compare both internal connectors, connector keying and pin count with the listing photos. Compatibility is determined by the connectors, not model year alone. This harness does not repair a failed LED panel.

Common symptoms

• Intermittent or failed selector illumination
• Park button intermittently unavailable
• Selector response cuts out or returns when the harness is moved

Diagnosis matters: these symptoms can also be caused by a failed LED circuit board, damaged connectors, a power-supply fault or another internal selector problem. Test continuity at both ends of the original harness before ordering.

Fits BMW F-Series electronic selectors with matching internal connectors, including pre-LCI and LCI versions of:

• BMW 1 Series: F20 and F21
• BMW 2 Series: F22 and F23
• BMW 3 Series: F30, F31, F34 and F35
• BMW 4 Series: F32, F33 and F36

Known complete-selector references associated with this connector family include 61319296896 / 9296896 and 61317950384 / 7950384 / 61319296898 / 9296898. BMW used other connector versions on some equipment and production variants, so a connector match is mandatory.
